Aim for 8.0" — modern standard, versatile. Below 1m70, drop to 7.75". Above 1m85, go up to 8.25".

How long does a deck last on average?

For a regular skater (3-5 sessions/week), a deck lasts 2 to 4 months. With Powell Flight tech you can reach 6-8 months.

Pro decks or shop decks?

Shop decks cost 30-40 €, pro decks 60-80 €. Quality, signature, durability are the difference. To start a shop deck is fine.

Should I buy grip with the deck?

Yes. Grip lasts as long as the deck or less. Count 4-7 € for Mob or Jessup grip.

How to avoid breaking a fresh deck too fast?

Avoid flat-bangs — the #1 board killer. Bend your knees, absorb the landing, re-open the board in the air before impact.
